Overview and Ambition

Sharing Across Sectors
The theme of this year’s Great Lakes Adaptation Forum, A Network of Networks, reflects the opportunity and challenge we face advancing climate research and adaptation implementation in our Region. As climate change efforts are taken up across a diversity of sectors and disciplines, including health, agricultural, urban planning, and tribes, the need to share practices across our within and across our expertise is more necessary than ever. Identifying how knowledge about climate change is transferred from research practice; integrated into policies and management; and how adaptation actions are evaluated for success is enhanced through shared learning.

Hosts and Sponsors
The 2016 Great Lakes Adaptation Forum is co-hosted by the Great Lakes Integrated Sciences and Assessments program, the Northeast Climate Science Center, The Midwest and Northeast Regional Climate Centers. This event is also taking place in collaboration with the National Adaptation Forum. The National Adaptation Forum takes place every other year and delivers content designed to serve adaptation professionals. We are continuing to seek additional sponsors for the full event and also interested in bringing specific event and program component sponsors. A list of sponsorship opportunities is available.
