Monday, September 2, 2013
Chicago Sun Times, 2012

The NE CSC introduces the first webinars in a new series for the 2013-2014 academic year focusing on extreme events and climate change adaptation.  Here in the Northeast region, extreme events are a critical concern for managers in charge of safeguarding important resources.  As part of this series, speakers from various backgrounds and expertise will speak to impacts, priorities, tools, and considerations in building adaptive capacity to climate change and extreme events.  The series will wrap up with a spring workshop that will promote existing and build new connections between researchers and stakeholders to direct research efforts toward effective adaptation solutions.

If you are located near Amherst, MA, you may join us in person for many of these talks.
