Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI): Science Council, Outreach Program, Adaptation Working Group, Stormwater Working Group

Adapting to our changing climate presents a wide range of challenges and opportunities. In Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI) was created to assess vulnerabilities and identify adaptation strategies for all aspects of the natural and built environment. Comprising over 200 statewide experts organized into 15 topical working groups, WICCI serves as a model for involving stakeholders in the climate adaptation enterprise. The outcome (to date) of this collaborative effort is the result of a deliberate stakeholder selection and participation process, informed by a detailed analysis of climate adaptation methodology, resulting in broad acceptance by key decision makers.
