Research Interests:
The focus of my research is to examine the productivity under lake ice and how changing climate impacts winter lake ecology. To do this I will be looking at phytoplankton slides dating back 30 years to examine seasonal shifts in community structures. I will also be looking at how light attenuation effects productivity under the ice through a snow manipulation experiment.
